We regret to announce that product prices will be increasing effective October 15, 2012 due to circumstances beyond our control.
We have been informed by our poultry supplier that the price we pay for chicken will increase shortly by 300 – 400%. This increase is due in part to the US drought, which has both raised the cost of feed for livestock including chickens, and reduced overall supply.
Market competition among pet food manufacturers has also increased, with larger manufacturers driving up prices to secure supply – prices that smaller companies like our own must now pay to retain the ingredients we need to continue to produce and sell quality products to our customers.
In addition, there was a 60 – 70% increase in the cost of both fish and liver supplies earlier this year, which until this latest increase we had absorbed.
Despite these factors, we will continue to strive to provide the most affordable raw pet foods on the market, using the highest quality ingredients available in Canada.
